If you want a dialog about mental illness

Stop reblogging that article by Liza Long.

Her son is not mentally ill. He’s an angry kid responding to abuse and a broken home.

You are not doing anything to help the mentally ill by perpetuating the stigma of angry children as “ill” or “broken”. The label “mentally ill” is being used to ABUSE him.

Too, too often it is the children who wind up institutionalized and labelled “mentally ill” because of their PARENTS.

I know, because I was one of those kids.  My mother was at best a narcissist and at worse a sociopath, and it was *me* that ended up institutionalized. That is how abusers MAKE you crazy - by convincing you that you’re the broken one that needs help, that your legitimate responses to their abuse are abusive towards THEM.

I was afraid of talking about this for fear of losing followers, but fuck. This needs to be discussed. That woman is openly abusing her son and receiving adulation for it.

          intergaylactic:

          freakbast:

so today, my friend Tyler went to Publix. he noticed that there was a promotional sale for Sun Drop, because like no one here buys it, and they were selling them for like almost 6 cents a bottle.

so naturally, Tyler bought 600 bottles.

it took 3 cars to transport all of the Sun Drop, and he currently has 70 in his garage, 70 in his room, and the rest is stored at another friend’s house.

without the discounts, his purchase would have added up to $935.

          he spent $34

hes the guy we learn about in math
